A major part of planning for my bike trip involves making sure I have the gear I need, without carrying stuff I don't need. Here's a list of the stuff I think I'll need. I started with a gear list posted by another bike tourist on www.bikeforums.net . My thanks to him for giving me a starting point for my own list.

I'm hoping to take a few test bike trips on weekends this Spring and early Summer to try out my gear (and myself). So this list might change somewhat based on those trips.
